Syracuse Football Season ahead: Preseason Preview
With the Orange coming off of three straight terrible football seasons with losing records. Two of which where they hadn't had more than three wins. They're coming into the season looking to turn that around. This may be Syracuse head coach Greg Robinsons last year here if he doesn't turn things around very quickly, so quickly that the fans won't be to happy that the university wasted 4 years on this guy and his contract wasn't set to expire until 2010. This season doesn't look much different though, the Orange are going to face Penn State, Notre Dame, Northeastern, Akron and Northwestern, plus the brutal tough Big East which is probably one of the most underrated conferences in the country. It looks like the Orange may be in for another rough season ahead. It also looks like Greg Robinson will be out of a job by the end of the year. Will they actually hire a decent coach this time around ? Will they be willing to spend the money to hire a coach that can get this team out of Hooverville and get them back in the natonal spotlight ? or will they break the rumors and just keep the guy and suffer longer in the terrible drought of the worst 4 year stretch in the universitys football history. All it has to do with is how the team performs this year. Most people would say the team is going to go 3-9 , and I agree with them. Robinson better get this team going or else he's not going to have a job anymore and that'll make his career looking worse than it did before he even had a head coaching job. It only took 30 years to hire the guy. In my opinion, they should have never of hired the guy in the first place. So do you think SU should keep Greg Robinson after this year ? or fire him after this year if the team doesn't improve ?
